A presentation by SplashDamage showing off lots of the tools they used to make Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. The tools for ET:QW have either been written from scratch or reworked significantly from preview Doom3 engine games. The level editor used to make ET:QW is called World Edit which allows the real-time preview of megatextures and ambient lighting. A good portion of the video contains questions from the crowd dealing with ET:QW editing related questions. The presentation of the tools is conducted in a way that should allow even a regular person to enjoy seeing how ET:QW has made.

They discuss how they first contacted id Software, the mistakes they made during their transition to a real company, and personal skills that helped them form a successful company. Locki, the SplashDamage leader speaks for most of the video, starting off with their days working on the Q3F mod, transitioning to their work on the Wolfenstein Doom3 multiplayer maps, and their best known accomplishment, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. Matt shows off the new id Studio program that the developers are using to make and organize the production of the game and he discusses how the design tools for RAGE are different and similar to the design tools on previous id games. Along with discussing the game\\\'s development tools, Matt discusses the success id has had with getting TEch5 engine running seamlessly on multiple platforms. A small interview with John Mangus, the creator of the Optimus Prime case mod. The mod stands a towering 6'10 and is constructed out of aluminum and tig welded. It is painted Freightliner blue and Peterbuilt red basecoat clearcoat along with colbalt blue metalflake. John started designing this mod back in 2004 and decided two weeks after Quakecon 2006 that it was time the right time to start building.
