It is a small DM/Tourney on a three atrium layout. They are tightly connected with narrow corridors. A lot of vertical action! Weapons include: RL,LG,SG(2),GL,RG. Items include YA(2), MH. No powerups. It is supposed to be an empty reservoir converted to a battle arena in the middle of the desert.

The film also features: CarMac (as your host), SK|aNouC, 4K^Harriman, Team9|XeqtR, zEx|shaGuar, and numerous others from the Q3, UT & CS scene.
The film was created in the interests of gamers but also to prove that gaming can make an entertaining spectator sport. I hope potential sponsors can watch this film & realise how far pro-gaming has come. This is simonb's second gamer film since creating "

Installation instructions:

You need at least Quake III Arena Point Release v1.32 to play Excessive Plus.
(Can always be found at www.idsoftware.com, www.excessiveplus.net)
Unpack the content of the .zip file to your Quake III Arena directory.
Starting Excessive Plus:

To run Excessive Plus you can start the enclosed .bat files or read on.
To start an dedicated server use:
quake3.exe +set fs_game excessiveplus +set vm_game 0 +set dedicated 2 +exec server.cfg
To play alone against bots use:
quake3.exe +set fs_game excessiveplus
Or just start Quake III Arena and use the "MODS" menu to select and start
Excessive Plus.

: This is my second release into the community. Another large Capture the Flag map, but this one is a base style. This map has different sounds for each room, something I'm not aware of another map doing. There is a center "Gun Room" that has the only Plasma Gun, Rocket Launcher, Grenade Launcher, and Lightning Gun in the map. Shotguns and Rail Guns are the only weapons outside of this room. There is plenty of ammo, health, and armor sprinkled around the rest of the map. Some custom textures by myself included as well as textures from Mr. Clean and GONNAKILLYA!

Freeze Tag is a teamplay modification for Quake3 and Team Arena. It is a lot like that game you may have played as a kid, but without the killing. In Freeze Tag you try to eliminate the entire enemy team. If you kill someone then they will become frozen. So to eliminate all, you'd need to freeze everyone, making them all frozen at the same time. This will give your team a point and the round will start over again. If you are ever frozen, a teammate can come rescue you by standing next to your icy body for three seconds. You'll then be set free and can join the battle again.
This version incorporates the new 1.30 code so now you can finally see the new weapon effects, etc. Changes are: only being able to chasecam your teammates, added grapple vote to callvote, option to decrease amount of damage Gauntlet does in Nightmare mode, new gametype CTF where you only freeze if you are killed on the enemy side, added location text to vsay_team. New server documentation has also been written up.

Stand by a teammate for three seconds to unthaw them
Freeze the entire enemy team to win
Shoot an enemy opponent to "get their attention" and taunt
Watch your back, patrol as a group
Set traps, guard frozen enemy bodies
While you camp your team may be getting slaughtered so make sure to save them
You are a good player if you thaw more than one teammate at a time
You are a great player if you are the last person alive and you perform a miraculous comeback, take out the other team and revive your teammates
You are strategic if you only concentrate on thawing teammates; this kind of activity usually keeps a team alive
You understand all things if you can balance this with killing the other team
You are sneaky if you wait for enemies to come thaw their guys and then attack from the shadows

Falling into lava or the void will now only freeze you for 5 seconds

Bodies no longer stop you when walked over (Thanks to haste!)
Players no longer flash for a millisecond on spawn spots (Thanks to haste!)
Lag bug when people join is fixed (Thanks to haste!)
Changed it back to where you can follow anyone while frozen
Using Force Player Models now makes everyone be player model (not Sarge) (This actually works now!)
The source code for Freeze Tag, a teamplay modification for Quake3 and Team Arena.
This is a Q3 movie about a big event which took place in France during April. It shows the best frags and highlights of the week. Also you will see most of the top Quake3 French players "in real life" such as "aAa, holyshit" and "espylon". It's a cool video, frags are incredible along with a good soundtrack. It runs 11 minutes.
