Urban Terror is a "realism" based mod built on the Quake3 engine. It can be played as a stand-alone game or as a Quake3 mod. This means you do not have to have a copy of Quake3 to play this game. Urban Terror comes with a custom executable that will allow you to play the game with out purchasing Quake3.
Is Urban Terror like Counter-Strike? No, not really. The game play is quite different, much faster playing than CS. We also do not have a buying system implemented, we don't defuse bombs or rescue hostages. This release features lots of new features, bug fixes, and tweaks. Here are some of the new features:
- New/updated maps
- Updated UI and default settings
- Working IP ban system
- Duplicate name protection (the trade of is that you can't use spaces in your name anymore though)
- Removal of white skins
- /rcon players command, returning map/score and per player: name, team, score, ping, IP

Version 1.44 of the Challenge ProMode Arena mod. This release is a full version except for the maps. You MUST already have all 7 CPM map packs to use this version of CPMA. What's new:
Universal mod changes
- Item bounding boxes fixed and aligned, they were extremely asymmetric, items may feel smaller
- New particle system for rail, lightning gun and smoke
- hud_hide and hud_show commands for individual hud elements
- New icons thanks to vamp1re
CPM gameplay
- 2,000 units per second plasma (up from 1,800)
- Q4MAX spawn system in 1v1 (random using the furthest 50% of spawns from the killer)
- Tele-exit speed reduced to 400 from 440 and the 'cripple' effect on exit removed. This means less free speed but more ability to circle jump, all teledoubles that were possible are now but may need some practice. Teleporter exit circle jumps now follow the same rules as normal circle jumps
CQ3 gameplay
- ChallengeQuake3 gameplay modified - has the dev rail gun, ramp jumps, CPM water movement and a number of other tweaks, see the changelog for further details
VQ3
- No changes
The latest and greatest CPMA-approved build of Quake 3. This is an alternative to quake3.exe offering improved FPS, fixes and no Punkbuster nonsense. Steam Quake 3 users would also benefit from using this executable as it does not require Steam to run. Steam and normal quake3.exe files can be left as they are and used as normal.
This update offers improvements that'll be important for all players:
- The DirectX input code has been updated allowing you to directly bind mouse5 through to 8 as well as smoothing out and improving input for some users. Mouse input buffer has been doubled in size.
Demo pausing with timescale 0.
- Fixed an Nvidia card skybox bug that was causing some users to have FPS problems.
- Increased the max poly and max vert counts significantly.
My first map for Quake3. It's not a realy big map, but it's good for both tourney and deathmatch play. In map many space for rail shots and much corridors.

A tribute to ZeRo4, the 3 time Quakecon champion with one of the most spectacular Quake3 playing styles. This movie features his best frags throughout his playing career.
Taking the original 'fragged by' formula and mixing it up with a bit of rap straight out of Compton, this is definitely an original take on things.

A vanilla Quake3 version of the popular mpteam9 tourney map that was playable inside the Team Arena add-on. mpteam9 derives from q3tourney6_ctf, which later became mpq3tourney6. It's a bit larger, with 2 floors on each base, a couple new ways off the base.

SplashDamage spoke to a small crowd at QuakeCon about how they made the transition from a mod team to designing commercial games. They discuss how they first contacted id Software, the mistakes they made during their transition to a real company, and personal skills that helped them form a successful company. Locki, the SplashDamage leader speaks for most of the video, starting off with their days working on the Q3F mod, transitioning to their work on the Wolfenstein Doom3 multiplayer maps, and their best known accomplishment, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. For anyone who has followed this group of talented game designers since their days working on the Q3F mod for Quake3, this chat will be very interesting. The video runs a little over an hour.

Updated game binary for Quake3 1.32 players. This patch fixes some security issues discovered following id Software's release of the Quake III Arena source code under GPL. The following issues are fixed:
Ludwig Nussel and Thilo Shulz discovered a vulnerability letting a malicious client download files from a server if auto download is enabled ( sv_allowDownload 1 ).
A second issue fixed in this release would let a malicious server exploit a buffer overflow to execute a shellcode on connecting clients.

Quake4 edition of the popular Quake3:Arena CTF-map Q3ctf1 aka''Dueling Keeps''. Re-designed from scratch, so not a lame conversion via a converter-program. It has a new theme, featured by custom-made textures. The gameplay is almost the same as the original Quake3 version. This is also why i didn't used weapon-placeholders.
