This mod changes the gameplay in Quake 3 into something completely new. It supports all Quake 3's game modes. The mod is fully compatible with the Quake 3 bots. Instead of getting more and more points when you frag someone, you'll get less and less here. You start with a number of frags, set by the fraglimit, and when you kill someone, you get -1 frag. But, if you get killed, you get +1 frag, and if you kill yourself, you get +2 frags. You can't get more than the frags you started with unless you're really stupid and kill yourself. :)The goal is of course to reach zero frags.

The Challenge Pro Mode (CPM) project was created by Richard 'Hoony' Sandlant in May 1999 (when the 'Q3test' was released) after he realised that Quake 3 Arena was going to have a lot of "newbie-friendly" features and after John Carmack admitted a more challenging version might be better for professional gamers (which is where the name "pro mode" came from). Notes for version 0.99x8 (9 Sep 02):
add: CPM13B map config (PG -> LG)
add: cg_predict (0-2)
	replaces cg_nopredict
	0 = off
	1 = normal
	2 = optimised
	the normal prediction path is extremely slow at times
	(notably around curves) and can cost you 100fps on a GHz machine
	this new scheme is MUCH faster, but slightly more prone to errors.
	oddly enough, it's still more accurate than the original
	id prediction code (i.e. before the CPMA fixes)  :)
	if you have a slow machine, it's definitely worth trying.
	* currently very broken on lifts
add: new scoreboard for DM

The video shows my conception of Quake 3 as intensive, harsh and beautiful game. I tried to perform an agressive fast montage in it with corresponding sound of ministry and techno animal. This is my first video and it is far from ideal, but made with love and respect to the game. The next will be better. Runs: 4 Minutes 16 Seconds.

Defrag is addressed to players willing to improve themselves, to tricks-addicts desiring to train and monitor their abilities, compete, and compare their performance to others, to contest sites requiring cheat-prevention measures and a way to settle specific settings and rules, to mappers wishing some facilities and tools intended for tricks-jumping, to q3 video makers who want ingame camming features, and generally, to any player enjoying Quake 3 tricks and movements.

This major update refines the mod in almost every aspect, including renewed cheat prevention, advanced camera/machinima tools, significantly more accessible settings, better freestyle support, enhanced UI, and so on. Overall, defrag 1.9 can be summed up as being a matured version.

In 2002 some people started to organize little privacy Quake 3 Arena Capture the flag LANs one or two times a year. These LANs attended only people, who know each other from real life. Kami, one player from these LANs, also like to build webpages just for fun. In February 2005 he tested a new ilch webtemplate and finished a clan web page - not related to a special clan. Two weeks later, some of our today members got DSL - and a new Quake clan was born. The Army of Losers spawned in March 2005, six years after the release of Quake 3 Arena. Since Oktober 2006 the Army of Losers Fun Clan and Webpage is not longer exist... thanx all friends and members for nice years....

I''ve released my new Quake 3: Arena frag movie entitled "DOMINATION." This movie contains stunning frags made by yours truly over the last 1 and 1/2 years in multiple modes of CPMA VQ3 and Promode. The focus is more on the frags than editing effects. In game sounds compliment the frags. The framerate sits at a comfortable 45FPS throughout the movie. WMV V9 is the codec used, this is so you can still look at a great picture without having to worry if your low end computer can handle the movie or not. So, sit back and enjoy the movie!

Watch your Step", "Dark Citadel" and "Even Simpler" from Doom 64 rebuild for Quake 3. The author of the remakes copied the designs from his TV screen and feels the architecture is true to the original levels.

DuelX is a Quake 3 Arena modification that brings about new gameplay elements and some ass kickin' eye candy effects that really push the Quake 3 engine to its limits. Gameplay features include: 1v1 Tourney action, Start with all weapons, Weapons include MG, RL, LG, RG, each with 2nd fires, 2nd fires reflect the SG, GL, LG, PG, respectively, Starting health counts down from 125, Starting armor begins at 50, No self or fall damage, Unlimited ammo, and No items.

Most of the Quake 3 frag movies nowadays contain frags mixed together with psy-trance (atleast the well made ones) or other electronic music. I had an idea of making a movie with something different music and finally, I ended up with sid-metal (which isn't anything like death metal :) so don't run away immediately).

Syncing everything as nicely as I could was the main mission for me. I also concentrated on the quality. Frags are taken from demos I gathered from the internet and watched through myself looking for some frags worthy of capturing.

All in all, this is a frag movie with nicely synced frags and different music. Ofcourse not so different for some. The video runs 8mins 53secs and it's packed with x264.

Here is my second quake 3 freestyle movie.
This movie contains tricks from myself Nibbit. All tricks were done legit, that means no timscale is used, and no help of scripts.

I've tried to variate the tricks from r0xors to technical dm tricks, so that everyone might have some tricks they like. Lots of first person in it , not much effects, since I don't like over edited movies. I chose to have different soundtracks, it has 3 Chill-out tracks, 1 Drum n bass and 1 rock song.

Quake 3 Frag movie featuring one of the best players in Czech Republic from clan NTT. It is my first frag movie and I should say that I am greatful for this opportunity because I always wanted to make a frag movie. Big thanks goes to forst3n for the idea itself and Angry, Legie, forst3n, Hypno & eJo for the perfect material to make a movie from. It''s a bit oldschool movie with just a few effects, but "flow" was the main aim here.

Epic is a more admin configurable version of the popular Excessive Mod for Quake 3. It allows the admin of a server to control Weapon ammo, firing rate, projectile speed, and damage. It also allows them to choose which weapons are available to the players. Epic also adds a grappling hook to the mix which of course is fully configurable by the admin. This updated version solves the Gauntlet problem allowing players to utilize the Gauntlet, the Lightning gun knockback problem allowing users to experience knockback from the LG, adds a MOTD feature allowing admins to have a custom Message of the day, And adds some new types of weapon firing such as Railgun trails from the Rocket launcher, and Railgun Splash damage.
