A PG-13 version of a model from the past. Crakho was inspired by the Quake 2 version of Crakhor: After Crakho got used and abused, she decided enouph is enouph and came out of hiding from Quake 2 into Quake 3.....Warning!! Profanity and Derogitory Language accompanies this model. (ScreenShot)

VirtuositY is a Quake 3 movie that is not about a player or a clan. VirtuositY is just a pure Quake 3 frag movie, its all about the frags and the editing. Currently the final movie doesn't have any release date, not even an estimation, that it will be out in 2004/2005 is as close as I can say.

The map is based on a frozen rock/prison atmosphere, a placed carved from oppressive mountains and bottomless chasm's. The layout is based on my favourite Quake 3 Capture The Flag map Q3CTF3. I've spent many a hour playing that map and have on several occasions started to make my own version. Finally after years of failed start maps I have created my tribute to Q3CTF3. With this opportunity I have re-arranged several key items and hopefully made the layout more open for player movement. ScreenShot

Another large FFA/Team DM map for Quake 3. This beastie came together with surprising ease, other then some initial shader problems (huge props to ydnar--can you feel the love?). The layout is pretty sprawling with a great deal of height and vertigo-inducing bits. This level started off as a tourney (1-on-1) map, believe it or not, and after a number of people told me that it felt too big for one-on-one, I went crazy and added about another 60-70% to it and turned it into what it is now.

IRC Score is a score bot for IRC. The first (private) versions were intended to just post stats of Quake 3 clan wars directly into an IRC channel. However, since then the program has grown quite a bit and is able to do far more than just that.

Included in this level pak are two levels - High Noon (filename is wildwest) and Happy Trails (ww2, this level). Western Quake 3 have been making a mod featuring gunfighting in the ol' West. However one of their newest levels is also called High Noon. Well I'm sorry fellas, but I was here first. High Noon dates from 1999, has history (above) and distribution already. I e-mailed all of the development team and asked if they would like me to rename my level, but I recieved no replies after a week. So it stays, which is pretty convenient for me.

An update for users of Generations Arena v0.99c. This version contains many changes that are internal to the programming. You won't see them, but the game is even more solid than 0.99c was. Many bugs have been fixed and new features and commands have been added. Here is a list of what's new:

  • The "Large map" load bug has been fixed. This was due to a pointer glitch and was corrected during the streamlining process of the client-side program code. Maps that failed to load under v0.99c should load under v0.99d. This has been tested without any failures to date. Known maps affected included Gen-q2dm1 and painfromspain.
  • The menu system now supports model and skin selection for each class.
  • We've added Crosshair Health functionality back into Generations. This has been missing from Quake 3 for some time now. This option is selectable through the Game Options portion of the Setup menu.
  • Dynamic light controls have been added to the menu system under Game Options. If you haven't been playing with dynamic lights turned on you're missing some really sweet eye candy!
  • Demo recording is now possible regardless of whether or not the server is running g_synchronousclients 1. The new /demorecord command is explained in detail below.
  • The Doom model has received an extra skin as well as a new head!
  • We've added in some new obituaries for lava, slime, and drowning, and brought back some old ones, too. The environmental hazard damage behavior has also been modified to function as it did in Quake 2. We felt the damage behavior for slime and lava was far too severe in Quake 3 so this has been modified across the board for all classes. You'll like the change.
  • The Arena Gladiator and Strogg Trooper bots now have their own custom railgun colors. Pay attention to the color on that spiral!
  • Server-side spawn protection has been added.
  • Simple items icons have been added for all classes.
  • Doom has a new armor system, more in line with the armor system in the original Doom.
  • Picking up weapons has become a bit more consistant as well. Our new weapons pickup system no longer penalizes you for grabbing ammo before you grab a gun. If you don't have a weapon you will be given the weapon's normal ammo amount regardless of how much ammo you have currently. Otherwise if you're out of ammo you'll be brought back to the minimum quantity. Camping a gun when you've got plenty of ammo will result in getting exactly 1 unit of ammo regardless of what you're packing. Guns dropped by other players will always be loaded, however, so be sure to pick them up whenever you can.

A large FFA/Team DM map for Quake 3. This map was about six months in the making and went through serious revision a few times as the author came up with better ideas and ways to improve it. It's certainly his best work so far and he's pretty proud of it. The layout is quite complex, but it's surprisingly easy to get from anywhere to anywhere in just a few seconds, once you know all the tricks.

A large FFA/Team DM map for Quake 3. This one's pretty expansive and pretty tall. Opportunities abound for sniper-types who love their railguns. This map was my first attempt at a large venue suitable for serious Team action, and I'm pretty pleased with the way it came out. There are a few custom shaders (e.g. the afterbirth-ish slime, the glass tubes full o' scum, the Q3A wall hanging, the water), and I did a bunch of work with hint brushes to try and keep the r_speeds relatively low, and a huge amount of work with clusterportal brushes to optimize bot navigation as much as I possibly could. You may still notice some framerate stuttering at times with a bunch of bots loaded up, as they simply aren't at their best when trying to navigate around a huge, open, complicated area.
