The id Software press conference at QuakeCon 2009. First on stand was id Software President Todd Hollenshead who promoted a bunch of id Mobile titles for the iPhone such as Wolfenstein RPG and Doom Resurrection. To further entice gamers to buy the titles, Todd announced that the prices were being dropped to $0.99 and $2.99 respectfully. Anyone interested in any DOOM4 was sadly disappointed. Todd said to stay tuned for QuakeCon 2010 for more information. On the topic of Rage, id unveiled a new trailer which was pretty cool.

The guys from Portugal have beat the Quake3 human tower record yet again. They managed to get 57 people in the tower, but because they didn't document it properly they can only confirm a 54 player tower.

Similar to my last map "Stir Fried Rocks Attack"(charon3dm12) in visual style. Mostly different hues of grey, with abstract geometry. The style is kept simplistic due to the tournament nature of the map. The map is built to accomodate 2 players, specifically in a cpma 1vs1 setting, but still works well in standard Quake3. This map will flow differently in cpma than vq3 because of the trickjumps.

A movie of a fan's vision of Quake IV. He designed the Q4 Gladiator character based on the single Q4 image released to date. He also added some UT characters into the mix. The mesh was constructed in 3dstudio max5 and animated with character studio as all the characters were. This took a lot of his spare time and this video is the result of the efforts. In the video you can see him mumble a few words.

Abadroza map pack 1 contest 4 maps in Quake1 style. Maps are for fast play, tourney or FFA. Best for two or thee players.
Maps style is style of Quake1: Fat brick walls, metal girders, torchs, and of course - pentagrams.
Maps contents jumppads in old style (just like in Q1). When you come under this jumppad you must jump, then air-pipe will absorb and reject you to another side.
There are teleports in Q1 style, too. There is converion of Q1 - dm1 map, its abdm1. Ah, yes: textures! Textures are stolen from RTCW. But, there are some new textures. Thats are combinatons of RTCW and Q3 textures.
