The author 'BioTek' wanted a fast paced game with alot of frags where all the weapons have greater power. In reality the weapons of Quake III have high impact force and knockdown power, so that is the way the author made them. He added the off-handed grapple hook with the 2 button push for grapple fire and grapple release because he like hanging without holding the button. Also the grapple does damage if it hits another player which when you are down to the machinegun if your a good shot the grapple will do more damage. The other add-on is the jump boots so in large maps you can turn them on and jump to the moon.
