Urban Terror is a "realism" based mod built on the Quake3 engine. It can be played as a stand-alone game or as a Quake3 mod. This means you do not have to have a copy of Quake3 to play this game. Urban Terror comes with a custom executable that will allow you to play the game with out purchasing Quake3.

Is Urban Terror like Counter-Strike? No, not really. The game play is quite different, much faster playing than CS. We also do not have a buying system implemented, we don't defuse bombs or rescue hostages. This release features lots of new features, bug fixes, and tweaks. Here are some of the new features:

New/updated maps
Updated UI and default settings
Working IP ban system

Duplicate name protection (the trade of is that you can't use spaces in your name anymore though)
Removal of white skins
/rcon players command, returning map/score and per player: name, team, score, ping, IP

hey i want to know why i was the one kicked for tdm seattle server troll420 was kicked and the other on that side were hacking and we wernt i also seing that a few people if you read when they shoot they were using mombot couse it sais when they shot a kill people it would say you were spamed and that what i was trying to say no reason to kick me off of that server and you can get back to me by kevinedwards98058@hotmail.comthanks for your help

remember this is for linux... if you use windows go to http://www.urbanterror.net/page.php?6 and look for the windows version... windows version works in XP, Vista, Seven, 32bits or 64bits... and this version works in linux and mac PCs 32bits or 64bits... is a relly good game... try it...! http://www.urbanterror.net/page.php?6............. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCCIONS THERE AND U WILL NOT HAVE PROBLEMS....!

hey guys... this is an amazing game... for the linux guys... remember go first to properties, make it excecutable and then just play...! works fine on ubuntu 9.10 and most of old versions!
