Fortress Evolution is a class-based modification developed for the Quake 3 Arena engine. To those familiar with fortress style modifications, or class based systems for that matter, it's important to realize that this style of gameplay is different from anything you've most likey ever experienced. FE takes it's roots from the original QuakeWorld modification(s), TeamFortress and MegaTeamFortress. While both are the same in their base engine operations, there are some class and gameplay factors that definitely seperate the two. Fortress Evolution's attempt is to recreate the two while maintaining QuakeWorld physics in a more graphically adept enviroment; Quake 3 Arena.This second development alpha release contains the soldier, scout, demoman, and combat medic. Also contains h4rdcore, 32smooth, forts, xpress, 1on1, and cube.
