This is the full music version of Tarmon Gai'don, my 2nd map and my entry into the 2Q3 Mappers Challenge on the Tikidomain. Gothic with some tech elements. A few tight spaces, a few open spaces and a lot of ground to cover. This is my 2nd q3 map; I still have a long way to go. Overall I am marginally pleased with this map, there are things I would do differently now and answers I still have not found. Some of the lighting is not to my liking. The same can be said for bot play. Damn portal cluster brushes for not working horizontally (at least for me). I also had to drop my portal "transit" scene as it dogged some of the test comps to much.

This map is divided into three levels, each with a temple. The Upper, Middle and Lower Temples all have portals into the heart of evil where the real goodies can be found. Other main areas include the Courtyard, Plasma Temple, Rocket Room, Chain Room, Rail Pit, Corkscrew, Library and 4 Portal Rooms (Lightning, Rocket Skely and Pit). Spread about the map you will find most of the standard q3 items except invis, flight and the holdable medkit. All major item spawn points are marked, this includes any item except small health, armor shards and ammo.

This level is half remake and and 100 % new looking. It resembles the first death match level of quake 1 and that was intentional! Utilizing a new method of detail texture this level has a look to it almost superior to standard double density textures found in nearly every other quake 3 map not including the Dmmq3 pack that has a charm all its own. This is not bump mapping nor is it just the normal repeating detail texture. This is mostly high res overlays with shadow information and detailing for individual textures done in a case by case scenario. (ScreenShot)

Waterworld is a fast paced dm map with jump pads, ramps, fast in the air frags, a hidden bfg, and path to the graveyard. This version comes with custom sounds and textures. The main battles will be in the air and on land and even though the map is full of water. This version has an added cross in the graveyard and many battles will revolve around it. It is also much easier to find the graveyard but the bfg is still on a different path.

Guns Of Navarone (GON) has been my second Q3 map. It was a floater based on the idea of using the jumps as cannons. The idea worked well, and the level was downloaded more than 15.000 times. So, after 6 months, I decided to make a sequel. The structure takes inspiration from the original GON, but the gameplay and the mood are pretty different. Now you are on a desertic planet, and not on the sea as before. The cannons are placed in different locations and not in a raw. You'll find different new sounds... paying attention on them, you'll be able to recognise which cannon is shooting in each moment of the fight. There are 3 traps: one opens the "gates", the 3 gates where the players land once shooted by the guns. Another will make the MH campers fall down in the void. A third trap will be the sadness of the Quad hunters. ScreenShot

Bumboklaat is a terrain style map with custom jump pads and ramps. If you like getting air then this map is for you. There are pads everywhere with jumps across the fog of death. In the back yard you will find a table where bbq head is on the menu. On the bbq is another head cooking so go turn it over so it doesn't burn. Did that head just open it's eye's...hmmm must be going mad. I have also included map models made by others so please read the included doc as they deserve a big thanks for their hard work. I made the rail a bit of a challenge to get as being an open map it needs to be earned.

Map made by a legally blind man. Embraced originally from the early 1990's PC titles The 7th Guest and The 11th Hour, old man Stauf is back in an immersive and incredible experience created exclusively for Quake III Arena. Within these haunted rotting walls, the cackling demented toymaker Henry Stauf beckons your presence for one last round. Abolished are the tedious task of assembling pointless puzzles… the final hour has arrived, and its about drawing blood this time. ScreenShot (.ZIP version of the map)

But now all the small game-characters are awaking to live and they continue their fights in his living-room. Let's hope the gamer can sleep with the noises in his living-room. Shot1, Shot2

It's quite big/open map, mainly to some Team DM, and of course ffa. Personaly, I even played this map in 1v1 mode (I like big tourney maps), so I advise you to try it too, especialy with CPMA.

It's a medium sized level inspired to the first book of Dante Alighieri's "Divina Commedia". The main character is a statue in the main area that represents "Cerberus", the 3-heads guardian of the hell's gates. You can jump inside him and have some funny railtime, but pay attention... cerberus has the habbit to close his mounth.
